Review by Janice Bailey

Written and performed by Nicholas Collett and directed by Gavin Robertson, this is a very human and personal story. Collett is engaging and real in his portrayal of Peter Walker, a Battle of Britain pilot, reminiscing about the war and providing glimpses of his personal life. Prompted by the arrival of his grand-daughter he is forced to relive parts of his life which have long been buried.

This is a one-man show and Collett’s performance is quite breathtaking in the energy and command he sustains throughout the telling of his story, especially as he plays all of the characters over a number of years. This is a beautifully crafted story, told by a skilled performer and deserves to be seen.
