It is not often that a South Australian community theatre company has the honour of bringing to Adelaide audiences an Australasian premiere - so it is with some pride, and a great deal of pleasure, that Therry is presenting, by arrangement with Origin Theatrical, the 'new' Irving Berlin musical: Holiday Inn.

Holiday Inn (also known as the ‘new Irving Berlin musical’) is based on the Paramount Pictures 1942 film of the same name. The libretto is by Gordon Greenberg and Chad Hodge, with music and lyrics by Irving Berlin. The musical opened on Broadway in 2016 with great songs such as White Christmas, Cheek to Cheek, and Easter Parade.

In 1946, song-and-dance trio Jim, Ted and Lila perform in New York City. Jim proposes to Lila and they intend to give up show business and move to a farm to raise a family. Reluctant to give up performing, Lila agrees to one last tour with Ted as a duo. Unhappy with this turn of events, Jim's luck takes a spectacular turn when he meets Linda, a spirited schoolteacher with talent to spare. Together they turn the farmhouse into a fabulous inn with dazzling performances to celebrate each holiday, from Thanksgiving to the Fourth of July.
