Opus Performing Arts Community have been the resident drama group at the Hopgood Theatre (formerly Noarlunga College Theatre) since 2nd February 2002 when Hon. Jon Hill officially launched the amateur company. Since then Opus has maintained a high standard of production and won several highly regarded awards. These include the ‘Adelaide Critics Circle Award’, ‘Messenger Press Light Year Award’ and the ‘Hills Drama Festival Award’. Opus was originally formed to enable opportunities for people in the southern suburbs to participate in high quality theatrical events and also to support the staff at the theatre. We still achieve these aims today, but now we reach theatre lovers from all over the state. We produce a regular season of shows, including the annual Pantomime, Musical, Drama and Comedy.
